I am excited to share that I will be returning to Cotzal this year as well. I am planning on spending three months serving in the community as well as helping with short-term W.I.N.D. teams during the year. I will continue my role as English teacher at HOREB while also deepening existing relationships with the people associated with the school and helping to integrate new technology. Like last year, I will visit many families in their homes, praying with them and listening to their needs. As a representative of W.I.N.D., I will aid the organization to better understand what is happening on the ground, serve as their spokesperson, and help with and participate in the W.I.N.D. teams.
I also ask for your faithful prayers for my mission work, that God would teach me valuable lessons through it, for my safety as I travel back and forth between Cotzal and Guatemala City, and that God would use me in a profound way for His purposes in Cotzal. Also pray for HOREB, that the Lord would lead them during this exciting new phase as they look toward building their own school!
I estimate that my expenses for three months of service in Cotzal will be about $2000. If you wish to help financially, you can send a check to:
W.I.N.D. of God
P.O. Box 544 - Lopez Island, WA 98261
Or you may donate online at: http://windofgod.org. Please make the notation “Missionary Support” in the memo line of the check or online donation. All donations made to W.I.N.D. of God are tax deductible. Also, any donated funds that are unused after my three month mission will be used to support Colegio HOREB.
