Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

Believing in the Invisible

The branches sway, the leaves flutter. I can't see the wind, but I know it's there. People talk to one another, help one another, love one another. I can't see God, but I know He's there. The effects of God are everywhere. We can't see Him or observe Him but He still has a profound impact on our lives.

His spirit is in and around everything. Scientists are so consumed with finding, measuring, observing, that they miss what's right in front of their faces. Why do they look for meaning at all? Real truth can't be observed, can't be seen. It has to be felt, searched with the soul.

Have you ever seen love? Sure, you have seen it's effects: a mother with her child, a husband with his wife, two friends conversing over coffee. But have you ever seen LOVE? No, it is invisible. And yet, it is the most powerful force in the world. What other force causes people to sacrifice their lives for others? Love cannot be measured, cannot be quantified. It is not of this world. Why do people find it so hard to believe in an invisible God of love? You have seen His work everyday. It is invisible, yet it is staring you in the face.
